Criminals always find new ways to inveigle victims. In the age of the virtual heist, we know who has lost, but it’s not clear who has gained.  If ransom Bitcoins are never moved or spent, they become more scarce & valuable.  But if the hackers sell their Bitcoins, it floods the market & high supply lowers their value.  Sunset robbery?  The case of the curious crime
